How do I register?
The easiest way
to register is to fill out an application
form on our web page and submit the
application. Another option is to print
out the enrollment form and fax (+1-416-850-8601)
or mail it to us. After we receive
your application form, we will process
it and send you an acceptance letter
by fax and mail.

When can
I join your school?
You can start your class on any Monday. It is very easy and flexible.
Do I have
to take a test on the first day?
Yes! We will give
you a speaking, reading, writing,
grammar and listening test on your
first day. It will take about 90
minutes
to complete the test.
How
much is the Registration Fee?
The
Registration Fee is $100 CDN and
must be paid to secure your place
in our program. The rest of the
fees can be paid later.
How do I
pay the fees?
You can pay by bank transfer,
credit card or money order. Click
here for our credit card authorization
form. Payment by credit card
is the fastest method to secure your
place at our school. There is a 3%
Service Fee for all credit card charges.
Visas
Can I get
a refund if I do not get a visa?
Yes! All fees will be refunded
except the Registration Fee and Homestay
Placement Fee. You may be charged the
credit card processing fees or bank
transfer fees for your refund.

do I get a visa to come to Canada?

The Classes
How many
people are in one class?
On average there are 5 to 6 people in one class. There
is a maximum of 10 people in a Connect
classroom.
How do you
know my English level?
Before you start your courses,
we give you a Placement Test to
check your level. Click here for more
details about your First Day.
Can I
change my program after I join?
Yes!
You can change your program with
one week's notice. You control
the classes you take. All the programs are the same price so it is easy
to change. For example, students start in General English for 12 weeks
and then switch to TOEIC or TOEFL when they feel they are ready or have
completed a high enough level.
Can I study
for one or two weeks?
Yes, you can study for a minimum of one week and
a maximum of 52 weeks.
How much
are the materials and books?
There is no extra charge for textbooks or materials.
In some classes, you may have to
pay a security deposit for the textbook
that will be returned when you finish
your course. You can purchase your
textbooks at any time if you want
it.
Homestay
If I don't like my homestay, can I change it?
Yes! If you do not like your homestay in the first week - for any reason - you
can change your homestay free of charge.
How far is
the homestay from Connect?
On average, homestays are about 30 minutes
by public transportation from the school.
It is safe and easy to use the subway
and buses in Toronto.
Can I request
to live in a certain area of Toronto?
Yes! If you have any preference, please
let us know.
Dormitory or Apartment
Can I stay
in a dormitory or apartment if I
do not want a homestay?
Yes! Please click

options.
Airport Pick-Up
Who picks
me up at the airport? You will be picked up by Connect
staff or the homestay family. Prior
to your arrival we will tell you
the person who will pick you up and
their Emergency Contact phone number.
How do I
find the person who picks me up?
The person picking you up
will be holding a sign with your
name on it. Do not leave the airport
except with the person who is picking
you up. You will be given an Emergency
Contact phone number in case
there are any problems. If possible,
please send us an email photo of
yourself so it will be easy for the
driver to find you.
What if my
flight is late coming to Toronto? Will
you know?
Yes! The Toronto International
Airport has a website that will allow
us to monitor your flight status
at all times.
Activities
Do you have
any activities after-school?
Yes! We have many fantastic
activities throughout the week
at Connect. Click

Do you
offer trips to Montreal or Ottawa?
Yes! Connect works with a number
of travel agents in Toronto and we
can help you book a trip to cities
outside Toronto.
Do you offer
any trips outside Toronto?
Yes! Connect
provides day trips outside of Toronto
so students can enjoy activities
like canoeing, camping, hiking etc.
Expenses
How much
do I have to bring to Canada?
The amount of money
people bring is different for each
person. Students usually bring
$100 to $150 CDN per week.
How much
is transportation to and from the
school?
If you are here for a month,
we suggest the MetroPass which costs
about $100 CDN. This allows you to
ride the subway, bus and streetcars
easily throughout Toronto. If you
are coming for less than a month,
the cost of one ticket or token is

Certificate
Do I get
a certificate when I graduate?
Yes! If you complete 4 weeks
or more of a program, you will
receive a certificate of completion
that details the programs you completed
and the hours you studied.
TOEIC
Test Can
I take the official TOEIC Test at
Connect?
Yes! Connect is
a TOEIC testing students and we have
TOEIC tests every month. |
