specially-designed program
that provides English study
in the morning followed by
afternoon activities.
Traveling abroad to a foreign
country gives students the
unique opportunity to improve
their skills while opening
their minds.
The
Connect program is available
for teens aged 12 years old
to 17 years old. All instruction
and tours will be conducted
in English in order to provide
the maximum exposure to the
language and culture. Additional
workshops in the afternoon,
including sports, arts and
crafts, or advanced English
courses will be held. Participants
will live with a Canadian family
in a homestay . A minimum of
two participants per family.
Students study
for 4 hours: Grammar, Conversation
and Canadian Studies. All courses
were designed for Connect exclusively.
Children will be divided into
different levels based on their
age and ability. A short test
on the first day will be given
to students to check their
levels.
Grammar Class
Students enjoy an introduction
to basic grammar, writing and
spelling skills.
Conversation Class
Through
games and songs children improve
their speaking, listening and
pronunciation skills.
Canadian Studies
Children are introduced to
Canada through various exercises
and traditional games.
Student Journal
Children will keep a written
journal of the time in Canada
both as an exercise and a diary
of their life experiences.
Pronunciation
We
focus on reducing the accent
of the student through various
activities and games
Teen Activity Program
Our afternoon and weekend
activities are jam-packed full
of exciting events for teens
to enjoy. Students study for
4 hours in the morning and
after lunch begin the activity
program. The activity program,
from Monday to Friday, runs
from 1pm to 5:30pm.
The purpose of the afternoon
activities is to give students
a chance to use their English
in real-life situations under
the guidance of our staff and
counselors.
Also, the Activity Program
gives students a chance to
make friends from all over
the world!
Afternoon Activities
Afternoon
activities include a BBQ on
Toronto Island where participants,
staff and teachers can begin
to get to know each other.
Travel to the top of Toronto
and enjoy an incredible view
at the CN Tower, the tallest
free-standing structure in
the world. Students visit
exciting local attractions
such as Fort York or The Beaches.
Weekend Activities
Our weekend
and day trips are equally exciting.
Participants enjoy a fantastic
trip to Niagara Falls, a wonder
of the world! Enjoy a day at
Canada's Wonderland!
Trip to Niagara Falls
One of the
most popular activities
we offer for our Teen
Programs is the trip
to Niagara Falls! Niagara
Falls is the greatest
natural wonder in Canada.
It is only a 90-minute
drive to Niagara. Our
staff will take students
to spend a full day
learning about Niagara
Falls! Many students
enjoy taking the "Maid of the Mist" that
takes you right next
to the Falls.
Trip to Wonderland
Canada's Wonderland is Canada's
largest amusement park! It
is a fantastic trip where students
can make friends and have a
relaxing time.
