Our
Adult Programs are available
for students aged 17 years
of age or older. On average,
students attending our school
are between the ages of 18
and 35 years old. Certificates
are given to students in all
of our programs if they attend
our school for 4 weeks or more.
We operate
on a system of weekly enrolment,
which means that students can
start on any Monday for a course
of any length, from one week
to any number of months.
There are twelve
levels through which students
can progress in our Grammar
and Conversation programs.
Each level has a specially
designed curriculum.
Each curriculum is divided
into weekly blocks. The maximum
time students can stay in one
level varies from 4 weeks to 6
weeks depending on the level
of difficulty.
Students are given Feedback
every Friday by their teachers.
Our system is flexible so
you can combine these programs
to make a course that matches
your needs. |

11:00am to 12:50am - Class

3:00pm to5:20pm - Class
NOTE: Please come at 8:30am for Testing and Orientation on your first day.

Integrated
Skills
The Integrated Skills Program
is excellent if you want to improve
your English structure. You will focus
on speaking, grammar, vocabulary, reading
and writing skills. Connect offers 12
different levels to progress through.
It is an excellent program for those students who want to improve all aspects
of their English.
Focus: Developing your structural English skills for use in everyday
situations.
Topics include: conditionals, modals, tense review, integrated
studies, book reports and basic to advanced grammar review.
Conversation Program
The Conversation Program is designed for students who want to improve their fluency,
listening and vocabulary skills. Connect uses an exclusively designed conversation
curriculum with 12 levels to progress through. 
Each day you will have a DIFFERENT TEACHER. This ensures that
you experience many different styles of conversation and you improve more quickly.
You are given a separate speaking test to check your level of conversation ability.
Focus: Developing your conversational
English for use in everyday situations.
Topics include: going to the restaurant, slang and idioms, debating,
cultural and current event discussions, building vocabulary and understanding
current T.V. shows.
Intensive Listening
This course is designed to improve
your English listening skills. The
course is exclusively designed for
Connect. It gives you valuable listening
practice in various situations. It
is excellent for those who want to
improve their listening for the TOEIC
or TOEFL tests.
Focus: Improving
your listening skills when watching
TV, movies or radio.
Topics
Include: Scenes
from movies, radio news reports,
telephone practice and television
talk shows.
English Idioms
This
course focuses on the study of informal
English. You will learn about English Idioms, idioms and proverbs. The program
is designed to provide you with a
better understanding of English as
it is used in television, movies
and on the street.
Focus: Vocabulary
study of different kinds of usage
of slang.
Topics
Include : Slang
at the restaurant, slang on television,
slang at work and popular proverbs.
Speaking Clearly
This course is designed
for those of you in need of
improving your overall pronunciation
skills and enhancing your
understanding of spoken English.
Focus: The program
focuses on pronunciation practice
and listening strategies.
Topics include: word stress, intonation, rhythm and identifying
problem sounds.
TOEIC Exam Preparation
Connect specially designed examination
preparation to meet the needs of each student. Our small classes allow
students to speak more with the teacher. TOEIC (the Test of English for
International Communication) is an important qualification for those
of you who need to prove your proficiency in English to related work
situations.
Focus: practicing the listening,
reading and grammar skills necessary
to improve your TOEIC score.
Topics include: vocabulary building,
understanding business letters and
memos, current business events and
advanced grammatical structures.
TOEFL Exam Preparation
TOEFL (Test
of English as a Foreign Language)
is an examination for those
of you who wish to apply
to a North American university
or college. The small classes
ensure plenty of personalized
attention from the teachers.
Connect students are able
to practice both the paper-test
and the CBT test.
Focus: test-taking strategies to
help raise your score.
Topics include: academic vocabulary
building, real-life university material,
listening strategies and advanced
grammatical structures.
Academic Preparation
This course prepares
you for attending courses
at university or college.
The course also gives
you additional valuable training
if you plan to write the
TOEFL exam. A minimum of
Level 7 is required to
take the program.
Focus: preparing students for study
at a university or college.
Topics include: listening and note-taking
in lectures, reading and writing
academic text, thesis and journal
writing and predicting the content
of lectures.
