I like to do this activity as a review exercise on Thursdays, or a reflection and peer feedback exercise on Fridays.
Step 1: Put Ss in groups. Assign each group a set of sounds from the week.
Step 2: Ss discuss and brainstorm common mistakes with those sounds, focusing on mistakes they make and mistakes common to their culture. The discussions are often hilarious and informative!
Step 3: Give Ss an outline for the reflection video. Part 1-What sounds are you talking about? Part 2-How do you make this sound? Part 3-What are some common mistakes?
Step 4: Share and celebrate the video with the class. Extend the reflection with a group discussion and more examples of the sound with the class.
Here's an example of a pronunciation reflection video with our Speaking Clearly class.
* This could be done with any class. Grammar Reflection videos would be great too.
