Youtube and other video sites can be a nice break from routine, no doubt. Please remember though that this is only to be used once the course book stuff has been completed and never to replace it. Planning on the teacher's part is also extremely important. To ensure a flawless video experience, the video itself should be downloaded by using one of the many free apps available on the app store and stored somewhere on your iPad (or within the app itself). I have been using Video D/L Lite lately and it seems to work just fine. If you'd like a quick tutorial on it, I'd be happy to help out. It's a handy little thing to have at your fingertips and you can avoid those awkward moments that lead to cursing the wifi gods. Please encourage your students to do the same if/when they would like to use something from Youtube for presentations.
